Sorry that is not for phase 1, there is no alcohol allowed in phase 1 but it sounds good..
Hi Kate
Thanks for the post however that alcohol is not listed on my phase 1 diet that is a link to another site that has more recipes..
And yes the alcohol does sound good.
Uh oh! I thought cooked alcohol WAS allowed. The heat burns off all the ETOH and just leaves flavor. Hmmm, I better double check! thanks.
South Beach diet as well as any low carb diet is very good in toning down body fats.
This is the best diet out there I think. No crazy stuff just reduced carbs and some protein.
Sweet! I eat mostly bread, cereal, fruit & veg and dairy products! I don’t eat any meat… but I am glad I have a good diet 🙂
Once you have made it past the first two weeks that make up phase one, you will find this diet becomes much more lenient and livable. Phase 2 allows you to add back in many fruits as well as whole grains. You will find by phase 2 that your body is no longer under the control of severe cravings for these foods, but it is nice to be able to have a few strawberries with breakfast.
Phase two sees you adding back in fruits like apples, grapes, mangoes, peaches, blueberries and more. Bananas, watermelon and raisins are still off-limits, however. For grains, you can now enjoy in moderation bagels, bread, cereal, muffins, pasta, and popcorn in their whole grain forms. Wine lovers can rejoice as red wine is now list on the South Beach Diet allowed foods list.
The chicken recipe sounds fabulous! And only 307 Calories… great!
Thanks for sharing the recipe. South Beach is one of my most successful diet I have so far. Currently I am in the first phase and have managed to lose 10lbs. Hopefully I can achieve my goal at the end of the diet.
diet still to many sounds uneasy to balance, but with such a well programmed chat one is capable to know what exactly to each less or much of it, a simple follow up can yield better fruits. Good blog, i have too liked the chicken recipe as the method seems perfect to reduce calories in a big number, lots of appreciation.
To be honest, I always like the recipe of Asia especially the recipes of Thailand, India and Pakistan. Most of their recipes are spicy and they are very testy to eat. Chicken salad is one of my favorite food which I take once in almost every month at a Thai restaurant.
